Bill and his wife, Joan and daughter, Rachel came to Thailand with Don & Kay in 1997.

In 1999, Joan convinced Bill to "take the plunge." Bill wondered what he could do as his skills are in the computer field. We now have Email with Siami and most of our office work on the computer Bill convinced his Church to donate to the Center.

In December 2000 Bill & Joan brought there 3 children with them to the Center. This was the first family since Don & Kay and family visited in 1988. The Wong Family have supported 2 students for many years. Novie, their first student, has graduated and married and now has children of her own. Wandaet, their second student, has also graduated and married and has children. Wandaet's daughter, Naomi is now being being supported by the Wong family. Joan return in 2004 and has since helped some of the women in the village of Manamkeow with sewing supplies.

As active members of Trinity Lutheran Church they are instrumental in spreading the word about Handclasp activities and initiating fund raising programs. They have traveled to Southern Mexico and brought some of the Karen fabric as gifts to the people there.
